How to make fancy crochet edging with beads on fabric

Combine your passion of crochet with beading and create fancy crocheted edging with sparkling crystals to make your crochet projects more special and elegant. 


In this tutorial, Crochet Design’s instructor shows you how to crochet very beautiful border including beads using only your crochet hook.


you’ll learn the technique of crocheting with beads using only the crochet hook, so you may use the same technique to add crystals to other projects than edging, like embellishing crochet flowers, laces and motifs. To make it easier, every round of the edging in the tutorials is described with a written instruction (there are only few rows 2 or 3) using basic stitches such as chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet and shell stitch, so even for a complete beginner, it will be easy.

Pattern:
Skill level: Easy
Materials:
- Thread: Rayon silky
- Crochet Hook: 0,6 mm
- Thread needle
- Scissors 
- Beads: Glass crystals beads 4 mm or 6 mm
Instructions:

Round 1: Insert hook just below the hemmed edge. Pull a loop through. Grab the yarn from the back and pull it  through the loop you just made. Chain 2, *Single crochet below the hemmed edge, chain 1. Repeat from * along the fabric edge. Finish with a slip stitch at the top of beginning chain 2.


Round 2: Chain 1, single crochet in the next space of chain 1, *skip next 3 stitches (1 single crochet, chain 1 and 1 single crochet), make 3 double crochet.




Take off hook from yarn


Place 1 bead in your hook, insert the hook into the loop and pull through the bead.




Make 3 double crochet in the same stitch as the previous 3 double crochet.



Skip next 3 stitches, repeat from* around the 1st round.



Finish with a slip stitch at top of beginning chain 1. Fasten off and hide thread ends with a needle.
